This Privacy Policy explains how Edgedly ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Edgedly website, application, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.
- Trade data you provide. The fills, orders, positions, fees, notes, tags, screenshots, and other content you import or enter.
- Usage information. Information about how you interact with the Service, including device and browser details, log data, and diagnostic information used to operate and improve the Service.
- Payment information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive limited billing details such as plan and status; we do not store your full card number.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact support or correspond with us.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including importing and analyzing your trades.
- To generate analytics and, where you request it, AI assisted reviews and feedback.
- To manage your account, process subscriptions, and send service related messages.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve the Service and develop new features.
3. AI processing
When you use AI features, relevant trade data and the context you provide are sent to our AI providers to generate responses. We instruct providers to process this data to deliver the feature. We do not sell your data, and we do not use AI features to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Service providers and integrations
We share information with trusted providers who help us run the Service, including:
- Hosting and infrastructure for running and storing the application.
- Payment processing to manage subscriptions and billing.
- Email delivery for transactional and account messages.
- AI providers for AI assisted reviews and chat.
- Market data providers that you connect using your own API key (such as Alpaca). Your API secret is encrypted at rest and used only to fetch market data on your behalf, through your own account and subject to that provider's terms.
- Product analytics to understand and improve how the Service is used.
These providers may process your information only on our behalf and under obligations consistent with this policy. We do not sell your data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
5. Sharing you control
Peer review links are created only when you choose to share a trade. They are designed to be anonymous and can be revoked by you at any time. We do not otherwise make your trade data public.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, to remember your preferences, and to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your content or request account deletion as described below.
8. Your rights and choices
You can access, export, correct, and delete your information:
- Access and export. Download a complete copy of your account data anytime from Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Deletion. Request permanent account deletion from the same place; we review and execute these requests.
- Correction. Edit your trades, notes, and settings directly in the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use AI features to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. 9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your credentials confidential.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
